Cattleya intermedia aquinii "Francisco Miranda" which was produced by several generations of selfings and sibs of plants originated by the first selfing of C. intermedia aquinii, the one original plant found in nature. The results so far is that we now have aquiniis with flowers that open the petals. A closer look at the flower shows an interesting shape of the petals. The tips of the two petals are especially interesting on Cat. intermedia aquinii "Francisco Miranda" not only by the shape but the color which is a bright fuschia that also covers the lip of the orchid. The foliage is also worth noting. The color is a lighter green than the dark green seen on other plants. This is a special orchid indeed. Sent as a mature plant.
