Encyclia orchid lovers choose this particular orchid among other Encyclias as their favorite Encyclia. The flowers are beautiful to look at and fragrant too. They are no bigger than a United States dime and grow in a cluster. The foliage is especially interesting because the pseudobulbs (the "bulbs" that protrude from the growing medium) are elongated and tend to bend. Therefore, the flower spike should be allowed to hang as the orchid plant would in its natural habitat. Sent as a mature plant ready to be enjoyed.
