Living Spanish moss is not really moss and it is not from Spain either.  Spanish moss is actually an epiphyte much like an orchid or a true air plant.  As an air plant, it relies on the air you and I breathe to live.  Use it to decorate the base of your favorite indoor plants or hang some in your garden and water occasionally and you will have a beautiful cascade of gray hair like growth.  As the plant thrives, a closer look reveals a slightly greenish color combined with gray to make a beautiful accent to any decor or garden!
