This popular but rare species cymbidiums is the parent of many of today's hybrids.  Unlike other cymbidium orchids, Cymbidium eburneum produces only two or three flowers per stem.  What it lacks in flowers per stem it makes up with it crisp fragrance that smells hyacinth.  It has taken seven to eight years to produce this plant from flask as it can take this long for this orchid to produce its first flowers.  It is offered in our large one gallon container as a mature orchid in bloom.  Cymbidium eburneum prefers warm temperatures between 55 to 85 F, kept moist but not wet, humidity above 60%, good air movement, bright indirect sunlight (70% shade in summer). Also, feed it lightly with each watering.
