    NOTE: Depending on the light intensity surrounding the blue orchid, it may either appear dark lavender or blue. The flower is un-mistakenly blue. Place this beautiful orchid somewhere bright and the blue flowers look transparent. A closer look at the blue orchid flower reveals what appear to be chlorophyll veins which is that "elusive power" from which plants derive energy.     I can't believe how long my blue orchid has lasted.  I have mine on a windowsill in the kitchen and it has been in bloom for a month.  This is really an amazing plant that last so long and the color is really blue.
