What is a Grower's Box?
A Grower's Box of orchids is a box of 12 blooming, intergeneric orchids ready to be enjoyed or sold by you, our valued customer.
What is an "intergeneric" orchid?
 Intergeneric hybrids consist of several different genera that are crossed together to create new "man made" intergeneric orchid.
Cochlioda, Miltonia, Odontoglossum, Oncidium and Ada are some of the
genera that are commonly used. The result of these hybrids leads to new
genera names like Vuylstekeara (Vuyl.), Colmanara (Colm.), Odontonia and
Adaglossum. You will commonly see "mericlones" of intergenerics as they
are very easy to clone and produce high quality/high quantity plants.
Intergenerics come in many forms and colors. Some are so unique that just looking at them will make you smile!
Grower's Box of Orchids Availability...
Intergeneric orchids come in many forms and colors. We offer a selection of sixty (60) different cultivars. In any given week, we have between 20 to 25 different types ready to ship. Since many varieties are seasonal, Grower's Boxes are shipped as grower's choice.
What is grower's choice?
Grower's choice means the grower, us, selects the plants to send. We generally do not encourage buyers to select specific plants to include in a Grower's Box. Since many plants are seasonal, and we assume you want a blooming plant, we hand select blooming orchids. In order for us to provide such great prices on our intergenerics, customers must allow us to select the plants to ship.
Can I select a specific color?
Yes, you can request specific colors when ordering. For example, in Spring you may want more yellow orchids so you will request more yellow. Otherwise, we will hand select a combination of our most popular colors when your order is received.
Can I order 12 plants of the same cultivar?
Yes, subject to availability, you can order any combination of plants. For example, you can order 12 of Bllra. Howard's Dream or six Bllra. Howard's Dream and six of Bllra. Peggy Ruth Carpenter Morning Joy for a total of 12 plants - just call us toll free to confirm availability of a specific plant: 1-888-ORCHIDS.
