Three Lady's Slipper Orchids.  We have gathered a few of our finest Paphiopedilum orchids in three colors: green, black and maroon.  Each month that special someone will receive one of these special Lady's Slipper orchids in our special gift box.  The first one arrives with our certificate letting them know they have been enrolled in our orchids by the month program.  The rest of the orchids are the first of each month in bud and bloom ready to be enjoyed.

    Lady's Slippers (aka Lady Slipper, Lady's-slipper, Ladyslipper) is a term used to describe the orchids in the subfamily Cypripedioidea, which includes the genera Cypripedium, Mexipedium, Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium and Selenipedium, distinguished by their slipper-shaped pouches (modified labellums), which function by trapping insects so that they are forced to climb up past the staminode, behind which they collect or deposit pollinia.

    Just writing to tell you how happy I am about the Lady's Slipper Orchids I received.  They were sent to me by my sister in California and the first one arrived in perfect condition so and it has been in bloom for weeks.  I can't wait to get the rest of my Lady's Slipper Orchids because I just love the first one.  Thanks!
