Humidity trays let you use pots with large drain holes without worrying about excess water pouring out and causing structural or furniture damage.  Since most orchids are grown in bark, these trays are ideal for orchids.  With a humidity tray, the overflow will pass through the pot and collect in the tray where the settled water will evaporate and help offset the loss of moisture through the leaves. This is called transpiration. This humidity tray has a removeable top so you can wash the tray when it gets dirty.  Trays are made of lightweight, durable plastic.
