    The Queen of Orchids - the true Epiphytic plant! We are proud to offer large flowering, specimen sized Cattleyas for our Three Months of Cattleyas Orchids by the Month program. Did you know Cattleyas can take up to five years to produce their first flowers? Most Cattleyas are epiphytic which means they use the air you and I breathe to live.  In their natural environment they cling to trees with their roots but don't harm the tree! Each plant we send is at least five years old and is shipped to you in a handsome antiqued bamboo basket like the ones shown. Cattleyas measure at least 14 inches tall and are sent in bud and bloom with helpful care instructions.
